The amount of money available depends on the type of grant you apply for and the amount of work that needs to be carried out. Some grants are also reduced because of your circumstances.
The Housing Executive will carry out a Test of Resources to work out how much you should contribute to the cost of the work. A grant isn't guaranteed to cover the actual cost of the building work, even if you receive a full grant.
Due to a funding shortfall, the Housing Executive is currently prioritising grants awards. This means that some grants may be generally unavailable until further funds are secured.

Limits for each grant
Each grant has a different maximum limit. This maximum amount can be less than the actual cost of the building work. You will have to pay the difference yourself. More
