The Housing Executive will have a duty to offer you accommodation if it is satisfied that you are a Full Duty Applicant .
You will be a Full Duty Applicant if you pass all 4 homeless tests also known as “hurdles”.
If you don't pass these tests, you can still ask the Housing Executive to assess your circumstances using the Housing Selection scheme. The Housing Executive has a legal duty to give housing advice and information on preventing homelessness to anyone who asks in Northern Ireland.
Am I homeless?
The Housing Executive will check whether you are homeless or likely to become homeless before they decide how to help you. More 
Am I eligible for help?
The Housing Executive will only have a duty to offer you accommodation if you are eligible for assistance. More 
Am I in priority need?
The Housing Executive will consider you in priority need if you are particularly vulnerable and have difficulties finding and maintaining housing due to your situation. More 
Am I intentionally homeless?
If you lost your home because of something that you deliberately did or failed to do, you may be seen as intentionally homeless. The Housing Executive uses an intentionality test to see if you lost your home as a result of your actions. More
