Support for homeless people Print E-mail

There are some support programmes available that can assist homeless people. The Supporting People programme in Northern Ireland is managed by the Housing Executive and may be able to help you live independently.  Other agencies in Northern Ireland can help you if you want to move off the streets. 

What is Supporting People?

If you are homeless or threatened with homelessness you may be able to get support to help you live independently through the ‘Supporting People’ programme. The Housing Executive manages the ‘Supporting People’ programme in Northern Ireland. More > 

What type of support is available?

Supporting people pays for any service that provides support, advice or counselling to help you live in or stay in your home. More >

Help moving off the streets

There are specialist agencies to help people sleeping on the streets. They may run day centres, outreach teams and resettlement services. What is available and how they can help will vary from area to area. More >
