Possession granted - what now?

Even if a possession order is granted in favour of your lender, this is not the end of the repossession process.

Your lender must apply to the Enforcement of Judgments Office to enforce the court's decision.  There are a number of stages during this procedure.

• Enforcement action
• Finding a new home
• What happens to the property?
• Paying off your debts

Don't ignore letters from the Enforcement of Judgments Office. You may still be able to discuss repaying your arrears during the enforcement period and avoid having to leave your home. It will be harder to come to an agreement with your lender if you aren't co-operating.
