If you or someone living with you in your property has a disability, an adaptation may help you to live more comfortably in your home. The Housing Executive may be able to help you to adapt your home.

What are adaptations?

An adaptation is work carried out to make a home more suitable for a person with a disability. The type of work covered by an adaptation depends on the needs of the person with the disability. More arrow

Who can get adaptations?

If you or someone living in your home is experiencing difficulties with every day activities around the home you may be eligible for help with adaptations. More arrow

How much will it cost?

You won't have to pay for the adaptations if you are a Housing Executive or housing association tenant. You may have to pay if you own your home or rent from a private landlord. More arrow

Applying for adaptations

The procedure for applying for adaptations depends on whether you are a Housing Executive tenant, a housing association tenant, renting from a private landlord or own your home. More arrow
